Much of my life has been about feeding people—mind, body, and soul.

My home has often been a gathering place, filled with artists creating music while I cooked meals to nourish and bring us together. I’ve hosted showcases with home-cooked Sunday dinners, organized double dutch events for Black girls and girls at heart complete with brunch...and so many other gatherings. I truly believe that filling bellies is a love language.

One quiet night, while nursing my son Yael, I realized that I was literally comfort food for him. That idea stayed with me and became the inspiration behind my new project.

Comfort Food is a three-part album served in courses, each one carefully crafted to be savored and digested slowly—just like a good meal.

“Eat good. Love good.”
